The selection is to LAY Grays Athletic, currently at 5.8 on Betfair.
It is now 1.20 pm on Friday 28th, and I layed £200 at an average of 5.64. 5.8 is currently available though, and I will use this figure in the results. Because I am starting with a £1,000 bank, I have laid for a liability of 1 point (£200); in effect I am backing Grays Athletic not to win (so Crawley Town win or Draw would result in a winning bet), at odds of 0.198 after 5% commission. Should the bet succeed, I will win £40.92 after commission.

Selections
My selections are all lay selections. Eg. Team A vs Team B could be priced on a betting exchange such as betfair or betdaq as follows:
Team A (Back: 2.60) (Lay: 2.62)
Team B (Back: 2.98) (Lay: 3.00)
The Draw (Back: 3.5) (Lay: 3.55)
If my selection is to lay Team B, then laying for a liability of £100 would mean losing £100 if Team B win, or winning £50 if Team A win, or the game is a draw. Essentially, we are backing Team B not to win at odds of 0.50. If the lay odds were 8, then essentially we would be backing Team B not to win at odds of 0.14.
During the season, there can be between 0 and 6 selections in a week's worth of games. Typically there will be one or two on Saturday, one or two on Sunday and one or two Midweek if there are many games on.
